Each summer for the past 17 years has included a week at Girl Scout camp where I am so very lucky to volunteer as a Director. Our wonderful staff of adults and teenage volunteers is absolutely amazing and we could never pull off this feat without each and every one of them.
This year's theme is 'Neverland'... perfect, since we don't want to grow up! My co-Director and myself are giving each volunteer a small silver keychain with the tiniest little glass bottle of Pixie Dust attached.
This gift pocket felt perfect to present them in and it sure didn't hurt that they were so much fun to put together. I used Tammy Tutterow's Scoop Pocket die in a variety of "Peter Pan" green prints. The great thing about this steel-rule die is that I can cut several layers at once- very important when you've got 100 of these to put together!
I wrapped some jute around the pocket and tucked in a beautifully detailed feather die cut from red cardstock. The Tiny Sentiments stamp set- again from the wonderful Tammy Tutterow- is filled with darling little stamps that I know I will be reaching for over and over again. The 'To/From' stamp simply could not have fit this shipping tag any better and I love how it turned out with the brown ink. Each keychain will be wrapped up in some tissue paper and tucked into one of the pockets, along with a handful of Pixie Stix decorated to look like Tinkerbell's wand with glittery stars.
I can already feel the pixie dust begin to swirl.... this year is going to be magical!

What a clever idea for the girls in the camp, Lin, and I'm sure they were fun to put together. Love them!

What a fun project for a keepsake for your staff! Love the earthy feel! I was in Girl Scouts from Brownie up through high school - do they still have a curved bar award? Always wanted to be a camp counselor, but it wasn't in the cards for me......
These are truly magical! I love the way you incorporated Girl Scout green. Such a fun, whimsical way to present this thoughtful gift.
What an awesome idea! Love!
Well done with being a mentor to our girls! Always a great investment. I am sure they will love the sweet little pockets!
