Well... HELLO there! It's always nice to hear from someone you miss that's so very far away. I made this card for a friend that I haven't seen in way too long.
Clean and simple is a style I admire but truly struggle with. It always seems like it should be a no-brainer... just pick out a few things you like and stop there. But you know how it is, pretty soon the little bits have grown into a pile!
I was determined to get it right this time so the best plan of action was to find a stamp that I loved as the focal point- that way I could truly pare down. This Ornate Hello stamp from Tammy Tutterow was perfection! The size is just right, the lettering is swoon-worthy and it has a whimsical happy style that lent itself well to clean & simple.
I did go a little overboard with the crinkled seam binding bow, but hey, I was pretty restrained with the embellishing... a few buttons, a little silver Stickles to outline the sentiment and it was done.

I guess sometimes it really does work!

Your friend will love this card, Terry, it's so pretty. I love how you outlined the sentiment with glitter, and in my opinion, you can never have too much crinkle ribbon! Love it!

A wonderful mix of patterns, Terry! Love how you showcased this stamp!
I love that bow! It's always nice to get/sent cards.
Terri, this is just wonderful. Like you, I struggle with CAS cards, although I love them. You really let this stamped image take center stage. I love your "Terri Touches": the button trim, the hint of stickles and that fabulous bow really make the card sing. Gorgeous!
