festive meets masculine...

'If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older.' 

It's hard for me to design masculine cards but this image of the boy with his plane makes the perfect accent for one! 

I resisted the instinct to grab too many embellishments and worked hard to use restraint in keeping it clean and simple.

Using heavyweight black card stock to cut out 2 of the birthday sentiments and gluing them together, I ended up with an element sturdy enough to layer over the vintage frame, exposing the metallic gold paper underneath. 

No additional frills, just a small bit of Stickles to accent the frame and some detail on the birthday boy. 

And that's how I do 'festive meets masculine'!
