I just finished writing an article about collage for Stampington Publications. It reminded me how important it is to take time out to be creative and just play.
***Funny note about this one... it's a photo of myself and my sweet father when I was a little girl. When I made the collage, I NEVER noticed that the printed words from the book page say 'my father'... now isn't that amazing?!! It wasn't until I blew it up for the blog post that I noticed that. I love you Dad.
These collages are small- about 4" square... made from cheap chipboard coasters found in the dollar bin. With the tiny area to work with, they came together in no time and really were a lot of fun to play with.
It just goes to show that even though a coaster was a very tiny 'canvas' to work on there was still plenty of room to express myself.
Good things really can come in small packages.
