perfect pesto...

Sunday morning, The Husband and I met some friends for coffee... and my girlfriend brought me a huge bunch of basil that she had just run out to her garden to cut. It smelled wonderful and was prettier than a bouquet of flowers. Thanks Allison!
I decided to make a batch of pesto- so easy and so good. To the basil leaves, just add some garlic, salt, toasted almonds (I didn't have any pine nuts), lots of parmesan cheese and olive oil. Throw it all into the food processor and let it do it's thing...
Tossed with some sauteed shrimp, grilled onions and peppers... and dinner was served.
