Once all the mess from Christmas is put away... the house always seems so bare. This year I decided that January would be the month dedicated to all things "winter"!
So instead of filling my urns back up with flowers, I decided to keep out some of my little trees and evergreen branches. Hey I know I'm just using plastic glittered snowflakes, but they do add some sparkle!
(and how else would I get to keep snowflakes insided, huh?)
The top of our old antique oak sideboard always holds these white urns. Now I've got a little winter still-life!
Next up... apothecary jars.

What a great idea! I don't look forward to de-Christmas-ing my house and going back to "old" way. This is perfect to keep the season alive and fresh. Thanks for the inspiration.
