studio tour, part 2...

OK... let's continue onto the other side of my room (quick- while it's still clean!!!)...

Giant glass canisters (Walmart, $9.99) contain lots of mini books on one of the shelves.

I've got a couple of bookcases that hold completed (and some not-quite-completed-yet) projects. That awesome little paper house was made for me by my friend Kandy. I love it! (plus, it was filled with candy... even better!)

My favorite little turquoise blue radio is there- it keeps me company when I'm lucky enough to spend time in here. The funky little yellow paper stars are an old project- I must have made 100 of them as holiday ornaments last year (no, they weren't M.E. yellow!). Maybe I'll post a tutorial on those- they're a great, fast project that can be decorated so many different ways.

I've collected teddybears all my life. I used to make and sell them, too. Still have a handful of my own mixed in with others I've been lucky enough to get from other artists. I also have my dad's bear and an old Steiff from my step-grandmother's childhood.

You can see my snowman collection on top of the cabinets at the far end of the room. They're still fun to collect but I think I've officially run out of room!

My friend Cathy made us all a list of 'class rules' when we were at her house. She's a tough teacher- no swearing or spitting or hitting allowed. Kinda makes you wonder just what goes on during our Scrappy Tuesdays, doesn't it?!! The little bluebird she included is soooooo cute!

This old bin table came from my sweet father-in-law almost 30 years ago. He loved antiques and spent many happy hours refinishing them. I'm sure, had he kept this one and done his magic on it, it would have been much nicer than it is now. BUT I know he'd be happy that I've used and loved it over the years- it's one of my favorite pieces of furniture, purely for sentimental reasons. The red picnic basket underneath was a great find at a garage sale in Idaho while visiting my mom one summer- it's full of chipboard books at the moment. I've got 2 green ones just like it at our cabin and they're full of linens. I'm not sure I can pass one up if I ever am lucky enough to come across another.

That's it for now. I'll post the last of the pics tomorrow.

Happy crafting today!

Wow, wow, wow!! Love your collections, so fun that you have them surrounding you every day (and not stashed away) so you can appreciate them. I'm also very impressed with the number of projects you've made, and have on display - they all look gorgeous!
