**wink**

Have you ever seen one of these? I happen to L-O-V-E them. Oh yeah, all capitals and everything.

I bought my first pair about 20+ years ago. They were part of a Christmas gift basket at Costco- you got 2 cups and a bottle of Baileys. I either went back and bought another set that year or the next, but somehow I eventually ended up with 4 cups. I then proceeded to pack them away in some dark cupboard and forget all about them (as I do with too many things I buy). That's kind of where the story ended, until... I ran across another one at a thrift store about 4 months ago. Yeah, running around with 'junky' Kris again. That girl is trouble! I looked at it, picked it up, oohed-and-ahhhed over it but didn't buy it. Just couldn't see paying the $7 or whatever they wanted. Especially when I already had a set of four. somewhere. at least I hoped I still did.

I went on a search after I got home and did find the little cuties. Washed them up and fell in love all over again. So I didn't need to buy another one, right? Kris sure seemed to think I did. She even named him. His name was Yum (because that's what it says inside the rim of the cup!).

Well, that little baby Yum looked longingly at me over the next few weeks each time I went in. And then one day we noticed he had found a friend! They sat next to each other in the 'special' section reserved for the items the store considers collectible. OK, Kris demanded right then and there that I buy not just one of them, but both of them. The entire time, all around the store she tormented me. When we finally went up to pay at the register I relented and she just about squealed when she rushed over to grab them for me. But wait- someone was making a move on my cups! Kris just about knocked over the old lady who had her eye on them and snatched them up before the lady could say anymore. I mean afterall, they were meant to be mine! (I'm really sorry ma'am... my friend was just so excited. She really isn't a bad person or anything...) And then the funniest thing happened. We found another one shortly after. That time I didn't hesitate a single minute. I vowed then and there, that forever after, anytime I saw another one I'd buy it.

And this morning it happened. I was in the Goodwill (again... waiting for Kris) and I saw it. Picked it up and noticed it said $5.99 for the set. The set? Oh my gosh! It was a little creamer and sugar set! You know I adopted them.

They've now come home to join the party. Welcome home, Yums, welcome home.
